Mid-Century Japanese Imperial Style Decorative Dish
Lusterware is a type of porcelain that is finely glazed to give off extra color and shine. This item is possibly a more recently made piece, honoring the White Crane Imperial Nippon design. I believe the dish was made and hand painted in Japan, then shipped to the US. It is an elegantly done mid-century replica of an older Nippon style, right down to the green beaks on the birds. This plate would look lovely in any collection or as a piece for the coffee table or nightstand in your bedroom. Look at the photos carefully as the plate does come with some wear.
